Rich Bahner
Director of Bands
Rich Bahner is the Director of Bands at Midlothian Heritage HS. Previously, he served as Director of Bands and Percussion Specialist at Hall Middle School in Weatherford ISD since 2012. His bands were consistently awarded "Sweepstakes" at UIL, earned Outstanding Band honors at multiple contests, and grew to 300 students. Formerly, he served as Associate Director of Bands and Director of Percussion Studies at Tarleton State University. During his tenure, he directed the Sound & the Fury (marching band), Concert Band, Percussion Studio, and implemented the PANdemonium (steel drum band) and Percussion Ensemble. His drill design and percussion arrangements have been used throughout Texas and Oklahoma. He also enjoys working as an adjudicator and clinician, presenting clinics for the PASIC, NFA and TMEA conventions. He spent eleven years marching and teaching in Drum Corps International (DCI), and he is sponsored by the Sabian Cymbal and Promark Stick corporations.
Mr. Bahner holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Oklahoma State University and a Master's Degree in Percussion and Conducting from Texas Christian University. His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and Percussive Arts Society. At Walnut Grove MS, Mr. Bahner teaches the beginner percussion class, and assists with the concert band classes. At Heritage HS, Mr. Bahner leads the Mighty Jaguar Band, conducts the Wind Symphony, teaches the percussion class, and assists with Honors Band and Jazz Band.

Cameron Bright
Director of Percussion
Cameron Bright is a percussionist and educator from Fort Worth, Texas, and previously served as the Assistant Percussion Director for the Birdville High School cluster. Cameron holds a Bachelor's in Music Education from Texas Christian University, and a Master's in Music Performance in Percussion from the University of Alabama.
As an educator, Cameron has worked with numerous band programs across the DFW metroplex, including Birdville ISD, Duncanville ISD, Allen ISD, Keller ISD, and more. As a performer, Cameron has had the honor of performing with world-class groups in Drum Corps International, as well as professional orchestras, such as the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra.
In 2024, the Birdville High School Percussion Ensemble was named a winner in the PAS International Percussion Ensemble Competition and was invited to perform a showcase concert at PASIC. Cameron has also had the honor of performing on the PASIC stage with both the TCU and UA Percussion Ensembles, as well as performing with the Grammy award-winning chamber ensemble Eighth Blackbird.
